Joakim Maele scored the third goal in the 88th minute and Martin Braithwaite added the fourth in injury time. The Danes will play either the Netherlands or the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals in Baku on Saturday.
In another match, Italy beats Austria 2-1 with extra time goals to reach the last eight. Italy scored twice in extra time through substitutes Federico Chiesa and Matteo Pessina to give the Euro 2020 title contender a nerve-racking 2-1 victory over Austria and a spot in the quarter-finals. Italy will now play either Belgium or Portugal in its quarter-final next Friday in Munich.
