Singrauli, 27 December. To imbibe the vision of PM Narendra Modi and in line with India’s ‘Panchamrit’ at COP-26, NCL has inked an MoU with CSIR- IICT, Hyderabad for Clean Coal Technologies and Gainful Utilisation of Overburden on Monday in the virtual presence of CMD P K Sinha, Director (Technical/Operations) Dr Anindya Sinha, Director (Finance and Personnel) R N Dubey, from NCL and Dr. V.M. Tiwari, Director, and others from CSIR IICT, Hyderabad.
Major areas of Collaboration wherein CSIR- IICT will extend its scientific support to NCL are Clean Coal Technologies including Coal to Liquid & Chemicals, Exploring Alternate eco-friendly technologies for energy, Coal to Hydrogen, Gainful utilization of OBR, to formulate and develop project proposals relevant to the coal sector, etc. The NCL will spend about ₹ 7.31 Crore in the next 5 Years in this collaboration.
The CSIR- Indian Institute of Chemical Technology is a national-level research center located in Hyderabad, India under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). IICT conducts research in basic and applied chemistry, biochemistry, bioinformatics, chemical engineering and provides science and technology inputs for the industrial and economic development of the country.
