Kolkata (IP News). Anil Kumar Jha, Chairman, CIL inaugurated a National Symposium on “Advanced Technology Infusion for Efficiency Enhancement in Energy Sector” in Kolkata. It was organised by IIT (ISM) Alumni Association & Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad in technical collaboration with RMIT University and CSIRO Australia.
Addressing the participants at the symposium, Shri. Jha urged the them to invent new technologies which would reduce costs and help increase productivity.
Delivering the welcome address, Binay Dayal, Director – Technical, CIL and president ISMAA said he hoped the symposium would come out with technological infusions required for the Indian energy sector and digital solutions for a visible and sustainable outcome.
The symposium provided a wide forum to promote advance techno-scientific cooperation towards progress in the energy field. Its objective was also to create an awareness among national stakeholders in the mining, oil and gas industries about the recent trends and practices of international organisations.
Prof. Rajiv Shekhar, Director, IIT(ISM), Andrew Ford, Consul General, Australian Consulate and Dr. Satyendra K. Singh, General Secretary, ISMAA also spoke on the occasion.
