Nagpur, 03 Oct. : CIL Director (Technical) B. Veera Reddy was on visit to WCL. On the first day, he visited WCL’s Umrer Area.
He inspected measures undertaken by Umrer area to meet the increasing coal demand. Onwards, Mr. Reddy inspected the under-construction explosive plant in the area.
The plant is being developed by IOCL and will provide strategic advantage for the unhindered coal production plan. He prodded the management to start production from this plant on immediate basis.
He also visited Umrer OCM and discussed about the future mining plan and guided area team to take up analysis through TPLMS fitted on dumpers for achieving higher productivity.
In the next leg of his visit, he met the RVR team, which is developing the First Mile Connectivity (Silo project). He discussed the technical details and timeliness of the project, and asked for allocation of more resources for speedy completion of work.
He also visited MKD3 mine and met the team members of HoE contractor to discuss the projected figures of annual production, HEMM deployment and any concerns/issue which they are facing. He also visited CAAQMS.
On the second day, Mr. Reddy visited Wani area. where he visited Penganga and Mungoli Open Cast Mines. He reviewed the mining operations in the area and asked to boost performance.
He also inspected the First Mile Connectivity project at the Mungoli Open cast mine. Later, he reviewed the performance of all areas of Wardha Valley Coalfields with area General Managers.
Mr. Reddy was accompanied by Director Technical (Project & Planning) Shri. A. K. Singh and other Senior Officers during the visit.
