Coal India endeavours to quadruple its underground production to 100 MT by FY 2028 and 125 MT by FY 2030 said, P.M. Prasad, Chairman, CIL, while speaking at the seminar on “Underground Mining: Augmentation, New Initiatives, and Ground Breakings” organized by IMMA.
He further stated that despite the challenges that Underground Mining poses, it is feasible due to the availability of environment friendly Mass Production technologies.
Dr. B. Veera Reddy, Director (Technical), Coal India/Additional Charge, CMD, CCL, elaborated on the UG Vision plan of CIL. He further stated that underground mining is essential to the long-term, ecologically responsible growth of the Coal Industry.
