Marking a significant milestone in operational excellence, NTPC Solapur inaugurated its first stationary augur for coal sampling today on 17.01.2025,as per the bi-lateral agreement with TPSA.
The stationary augur was formally inaugurated by the esteemed Head of Project, Shri Tapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay, in the distinguished presence of Shri Bipul Kumar Mukhopadhyay, General Manager (O&M), and Shri Naveen Kumar Arora, General Manager (Maintenance).
This installation is a landmark achievement for NTPC, as it is the first stationary augur to be commissioned across any NTPC station in the country. The advanced equipment is expected to enhance coal quality assessment with improved safety during coal sampling.
