Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has been conferred with multiple awards at the Global Clean Energy Summit 2025 held at New Delhi on 12th February, 2025.
The Steel Plant won the Platinum award under “Global Environment Award 2025 for Steel Industry’ and Diamond award under ‘Global Safety Award 2025’
Ashok Lavasa, Former Election Commissioner of India presented the award in the presence of Dr Ajay Mathur, Director General, International Solar Alliance. The awards came as a recognition of RSP’s outstanding endeavours in Environment Management and Safety in every aspect.
In a function held at Manthan Conference Hall on 25th February 2025, Mr. Alok Verma, Director In-Charge, RSP received the Global Environment Award 2025 from Mr. Hiralal Mohapatra, CGM (Utilities & Environment), Mr. P.C.Das, GM Incharge (Environment Engineering) and Mr. VVR Murty, GM (Environment Engineering).
While the ‘Global Safety Award 2025’ was presented to him by Mrs. Asha S Kartha, CGM (Fire Services & Safety) and Mr. Abkash Behera, GM (Safety).
Present on the occasion were Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR), Mr. BR Palai, ED (Works), Mr. Anil Kumar, ED (MM), Mr. Sudip Pal Chowdhury, ED (Projects), and many other Chief General Managers and other Senior Officers of the Plant.
