New Delhi : SriLankan Airlines, in collaboration with Telangana Tourism, organised a familiarisation (FAM) tour with 14 Sri Lankan delegates, including top travel agents and outbound tour operators.

The curated itinerary featured both ancient Buddhist heritage sites and modern attractions, offering a deep dive into Telangana’s cultural and historical richness.

The tour included visits to the Buddhavanam Project, the world’s largest Buddhist heritage theme park, along with UNESCO-protected sites like Nagarjunakonda and Ramappa Temple.

The team also explored Nelakondapally, Phanigiri, the historic Warangal Fort, built by the Kakatiya dynasty and the Laknavaram islands.

The tour concluded with fun-filled experiences at Wonderla Adventure Park and tourism hotspots in the Hyderabad city including the famed shopping circuits.

This collaboration between SriLankan Airlines and Telangana Tourism marks the beginning of a promising future for tourism between Sri Lanka and Telangana.

The FAM tour not only provided valuable insights to the Sri Lankan travel agents, but also helped strengthen cultural and tourism ties between the two regions.
