The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at NTPC Kanti on August 15, 2024. The event commenced with Shri Madhu S., Head of Project, hoisting the national flag, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and unity.
Following the flag hoisting, a grand parade was held, featuring the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and various groups, which was inspected by the chief guest. The vibrant display underscored the commitment of NTPC Kanti to uphold national pride and security.

In his address, Shri Madhu S. emphasized NTPC’s pivotal role in the nation’s development since its inception in 1975. He proudly highlighted that NTPC’s total installed capacity currently stands at an impressive 76,074 MW, with an ambitious target of achieving 130 GW of power generation capacity by 2032.
The Head of the Project also took a moment to acknowledge the significant achievements of NTPC Kanti and expressed gratitude to the employees from Operation & Maintenance, Safety, Environment, CSR, and all other departments for their unwavering cooperation and dedication.
As part of the celebrations, Shri Madhu S. presented meritorious certificates and prizes to employees and CISF personnel for their exemplary contributions to the organization.

In a parallel ceremony, Shri Tapas Saha, General Manager (Operation & Maintenance), hoisted the national flag at the administrative building and extended his congratulations to all employees present on this momentous occasion.
