NTPC Bongaigaon kick-started the nationwide campaign and celebrations of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” by organising Pad Yatra by its employees and family members of the station.
NTPC Bongaigaon headed by Subrata Mandal, ED, NTPC Bongaigaon in the presence of Umesh Singh, GM (FM and Maintenance), D.P.Patra, GM (Operations) flagged off the Pad Yatra and encouraged all to actively participate to the cause.
The Pad Yatra was organised to commemorate 75 years of independence of progressive India and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
Employees and Children, members of the Bardwi Sikhla Ladies Club also joined the Pad Yatra which started from the township premises from the west wing to the east wing which started early morning on 14th August,2021.
Later a tree plantation by Environment Monitoring Group was also arranged to spread the message of environment conservation and restoration.
The celebrations have been started by the Govt. of India 75 weeks before our 75th anniversary of Independence and will end on 15th August, 2023.
The entire NTPC is geared up to celebrate the momentous occasion with various events.
