Continuing our quest for diversification, we have inked a Memorandum of Understanding with RVUNL for the exploration and execution of 4,100 MW power projects through a JV company to be constituted between Coal India and RVUNL.
The proposed power generation in Rajasthan would be a combination of coal-fired plants, solar projects, pump storage plants, and wind projects.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, R.K. Singh, Union Minister of Power, and Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Amrit Lal Meena, Secretary Coal and Debasish Nanda, Director (Business Development) CIL, were also present on the occasion.
Dr. A. K. Samantaray, Executive Director (Corporate Affairs and Business Development), CIL and Devendra Shringi, Chairman and Managing Director, RUVNL, signed the MoU on behalf of Coal India and RVUNL, respectively.
