The two-day workshop on “Emerging Trends in Preventive Vigilance” has commenced in Kolkata.
During the first day of the workshop being organised by Vigilance Division, CIL, a wide range of topics, including preventive measures and the application of advanced analytics in procurement through the GeM portal and addressing vulnerable and sensitive areas within HR and Personnel departments were thoroughly discussed.
The existence, extent, and impact of corruption were also key points of deliberations. The first edition of CIL Vigilance Division’s annual magazine “Vigi-Coal” was also released during the inaugural session.
Chairman, CIL, Shri P.M. Prasad, inaugurated the workshop. Chief Guest of the event Former Lokpal of India, Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose, spoke about the importance of Preventive Vigilance. Smt. Rupinder Brar (IRS-IT), Additional Secretary & CVO, Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India and Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh, IPS, DIG, CBI Kolkata addressed the vigilance officers.
CVO, CIL, Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy delivered the welcome address and Director (Marketing), CIL, Shri Mukesh Choudhary delivered the vote of thanks.
