Warora, 9th February 2025: Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, inaugurated Western Coalfields Limited’s (WCL) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project at Maharogi Sewa Samiti’s Anandwan on the occasion of the organisation’s historic milestone of celebrating 75 years of humanitarian service to the nation.
The project was inaugurated in the presence of Vikas Amte and Shri Prakash Amte, Trustees of Maharogi Sewa Samiti, along with Jai Prakash Dwivedi, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, WCL, and Shri Hemath Sharad Pande, Director (Personnel), WCL.
The project, which includes the installation of a 95 kWp solar power system funded by WCL with CSR support, marks a significant step in Anandwan’s vision of becoming a net-zero organization.
By harnessing renewable energy, the initiative will substantially reduce operational electricity costs, allowing the community to allocate more resources toward developmental and welfare programs for its residents, including leprosy-affected individuals.WCL’s contribution has enabled Anandwan to take a crucial step toward self-reliance and sustainability, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
