Ranchi, 29 September : Commencement of coal production in NTPC Chatti Bariatu Coal Mining Project on 29 September, 2022 On this historical occasion, Regional Executive Director, NTPC Coal Mining, Partha Mazumder extended warm wishes for the start of coal production in the presence of the General Manager of Chatti Bariatu B.M. Singh and General Manager of Kerandari Project, Faiz Taiyab and all the officers, employees of the KD&CB projects.
Appreciating the cooperation received from the Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner Hazaribagh Nancy Sahay, Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chothe and officers of the District Administration, Sh. Mazumder presented a vote of thanks.
It may be noted that the mining work of Chatti Bariatu Coal Mining Project was started on 25.04.2022 and within a span of 1 month from the start of mining work, the project touched the coal seam on 21.05.2022. All the credit for this achievement of the project goes to the full cooperation of the District Administration and the villagers and all the officers and employees of the project.
Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay and Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chothe congratulated and compliments with the best wishes to the NTPC Regional Executive Director, Partha Mazumder, all the officers of project for the first coal production in CB CMP.
Giving the message of environmental protection on this auspicious occasion, all the chief guests planted saplings at the Pagar site office.
On this occasion General Manager B.M. Singh expressed the happiness of the first coal production,and said that now the Chatti-Bariatu project has joined the series of fourth producing mines of NTPC.
Now the Chatti-Bariatu project will also provide coal to various plants in the country along with Pakri Barwadih, Dulanga and Talaipalli. Chatti-Bariatu, coal mining project will have the peak rated production of 7 million tonnes per annum.
NTPC has always been working in the path of progress in the interest of our country. CB CMP will supply coal to NTPC power plants to meet their coal requirements.
Under NTPC Chatti Bariatu and Keredari Project Corporate Social Responsibility, various social welfare works are organized regularly in the displaced villages such as training centre, medical camp facility, self employment training, distribution function etc.
The project is always ready in the field of education, smart class facility in the schools of the project affected villages, renovation of toilets under Swachh Bharat, distribution of sports material. NTPC is also the official sponsor of Archery at the national level.
