Singrauli, 23rd June : ‘SMRIDHI’ Sustainable Methods & Resource Integration Drive for Holistic & Inclusive Development Yatra aims to disseminate the knowledge and revolutionize agriculture by sharing the expertise/experience obtained for promoting scientific methods and latest farming technologies through the dedicated Centre of NIIC across the country.
Director (Technical/operations & Personnel), NCL Dr. Anindya Sinha Launched the Yatra under KisanGanga initiative of NCL and IIT (BHU) through Virtual mode on Wednesday, Other Key officials remain Present during the Launch.
NCL in association with IIT (BHU) has set up a Satellite Centre ‘NIIC’ at Birkunia village of Singrauli (M.P.). Started as a pilot project under CSR, this Centre is supporting agropreneurs and local farmers with new technological solutions as well as best farming practices.
‘NIIC’ Centre at Birkunia Houses Agri-Chikitsa’ provides online consultancy support to farmers of Singrauli region. A dedicated Lab-‘Agriclinic’ has been set up at the Centre from which farmers are getting their soil sample tested for 16 parameters. Based upon the lab results and scientific recommendations, the Centre is extending its support to farmers by providing about 30 type of different agro-inputs to farmers at the village level to enhance their crop yield as well as for proper crop management.
Drones support is also available for farmers which are efficiently being used by farmers for spray purpose in farms.
KisanGanga is a platform being developed by NCL and NCL-IIT (BHU) Incubation Centre to provide a full-fledged sustainable and working model for ensuring a self-sufficient village economy with the development and practising of innovative solutions in an integrated and organized manner.
