The rupee today logged robust gains to trade below 75 rupees per US dollars mark. The local unit strengthened 45 paise to settle at 74 rupees and 66 paise against the American currency.
The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, rose 0.03 percent to trade at 95.83 in intra-day trade.
