India Institute of Technology, Patna team consisting of Deepankar Jauhari and Kirtan Jain clinched the ER-I regional round of NTPC Electron Quiz 2023 held today at Chandragupta Institute of Management campus, Patna.
Abhimanyu Singh Bisht & Chanya of IIT-Patna and Aryaman Sahay & Aditya Joshi of Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya came second and third, respectively.
Two teams from IIT-Patna and one team each from IIM-Bodh Gaya, and Birla Institute of Technology, Meshra, Amity University, Patna and Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering were selected based on an on-spot written round held in the morning. The final round of the quiz competition was an audio-visual round in which teams showcased intense competition for the title till the end. Renowned quiz master, Bivash Rath from Bhubaneswar conducted the quiz.
A total of 70 teams comprising two participants from India Institute of Technology, Patna, IIM, Bodhgaya, National Institute of Technology, Patna, Chandragupta Institute of Management, Patna, Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering, MIT-Muzaffarpur, BIT, Meshra, PMIR, Patna along with others management and technical institutions of Bihar & Jharkhand participated in the Quiz.
The top three teams from the competition would take part in the semi-final and national finals to be held at Power Management Institute, Noida on 6th & 7th December 2023, respectively.
The top three teams were honoured with certificates and cash prizes worth Rs. 30,000, Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000. Besides, three consolation prizes were also given to the remaining participants of Audio-visual rounds.
Gracing the occasion, Sudip Nag, Regional Executive Director (East-I) said that “the motto of ‘NTPC Electron Quiz 2023′ is to inculcate a culture of learning amongst the young minds and the way NTPC is electrifying the nation, Electron quiz is a platform that electrifies the young & talented minds year after year.”
This quizzing concept was introduced first time in the year 2004 by NTPC and almost all regional headquarters have been organizing the regional rounds followed by a national round every year.
Senior officials of NTPC (ER-I) along with a large number of students from various engineering & management colleges of Bihar & Jharkhand were present.
