C K Sharma, Senior Manager (Public Relations) Department of SAIl, Rourkela Steel Plant was honoured with prestigious Chanakya Award 2023 at the 17th Global Communication Conclave of Public Relations Council of India held recently in Delhi. He received the award for his ‘Excellence in Internal Media Management’ from Jual Oram, Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence at a glittering award ceremony.
The Chanakya award is a recognition of his more than three decades of dedicated service in Public Relations of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant. In his career Mr. Sharma has excelled in various aspects of Public Relations including the production of news in three languages for RSTV on day to day basis, preparation of documentaries and short films, Health files, Cultural programmes, Managing Social Media handles, handling Media and Event Management etc.
Currently Mr. Sharma is heading the Rourkela Steel Television (RSTV) of Public Relations Department, a captive TV Channel of RSP, which holds the pride of being the first captive cable television net work for an industrial set up in the country.
This recognition serves as a testament to Mr. Sharma’s dedication and commitment to his profession.
