Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday hosted women members of the Union Council of Ministers, at high-tea at her residence in New Delhi.
Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Meenakshi Lekhi, Anupriya Patel, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Renuka Singh and others attended the event.
In the recent expansion, the number of women Ministers in the Council of Ministers has been increased to 11, which is the highest number of women Ministers in the Central government since 2004.
