Gold was trading down at the Multi Commodity Exchange for December contracts on Monday. The precious metal was down by 116 rupees to trade at 60,579 rupees per ten grams.
Silver futures for December contracts were also down by 529 rupees to trade at 72,611 rupees per kilogram when reports last came in.
In the global markets, gold was trading down at 1,977 dollars and 90 cents per ounce at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver was also trading down at 23 dollars and 91 cents per ounce in the intra-day session.
