Gold prices today declined 220 rupees at Multi Commodity Exchange for October contracts in sync with losses in the international markets. The precious metal was trading at 45,850 rupees per 10 gram.
Silver also plunged 880 rupees to 59,755 rupees per kilogram for December Contracts when reports last came in.
In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was down to trade at 1,734 US dollars and 10 cetnts per ounce. Silver prices were also down to trade at 22 dollars and 20 cents per ounce in intra-day trade.
