Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has signed an MoU to support the New Rampela ME School in Sambalpur district of Odisha.

The General Manager (CSR), MCL and District Education Officer, Sambalpur, formally signed the MoU in this regard in the presence of Shri Vinay Ranjan, Director (P&IR) of Coal India Limited, and MCL’s senior leadership Shri Keshav Rao, Director (Personnel), Shri Jugal K Borah, Director (Technical/Operations), Shri AK Behura, Director (Finance), and Shri A S Bapat, Director (Tech/P&P).

Under this CSR initiative, MCL will make available Rs 50 lakh in constructing four new classrooms at the New Rampela ME School, which has been serving the local community since 1958-59. Currently, the school caters to 500 students, including 130 from SC and 148 from ST.
