Singrauli (IP News). CMD of Northern Coalfields Limited Prabhat Kumar Sinha recommissioned the Yamuna Dragline of Jayant Project on Tuesday. The Yamuna Dragline, one of the heaviest machines on the planet, was under major repair for a year.

Speaking on the occasion he said that it is the exceptional Skills and relentless endeavours of team NCL which accomplishes such mega tasks in record time, with minimum cost and due safety. He highlighted the efforts taken to recommission the machine including the arrangement of spares from sister projects and best possible sources also the coordination with different agencies by top management.
The whole project was executed at more than 80% reduced cost compared to the replacement of Dragline Boom.

During the day he also overlooked the operation of Jayant mines, reviewed monsoon preparation and ongoing construction of New CHP, another flagship FMC project of NCL.
Notably, Draglines are the Biggest Mining excavators in the world. NCL has 23 Draglines deployed in its 6 mines overburden removal.
