Singrauli (IP News). P.K. Sinha, CMD, Northern Coalfields Ltd. (NCL) inaugurated a 3×40 MVA 132/33KV main substation in the Nigahi area of NCL.
The new substation will be feeding 4 Mega mines of NCL – Nigahi, Jayant, Dudhichua and Amlohri. It will also help in reducing power transmission length from a distance of 58 km to 900m. This will help to ensure better voltage regulation to the heavy earth moving machines working in mega coal mines and improved power reliability for round the clock coal production.
