Animesh Jain, CEO, NML and Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining), along with Ram Baboo Prasad, Ex-Director (Technical), CCL and Associate, NML visited NTPC Dulanga for a comprehensive review. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by Brij Raj Prasoon, Head of Project, NTPC Dulanga and Harsha Nath Chakraborty, Head of Project, NTPC Darlipali. The visit was further honored by the presence of Smt. Rekha Jain, President of Swayamsiddha Ladies Club.
The dignitaries graced the closing ceremony of NTPC Darlipali’s Girl Empowerment Mission, Flagship CSR initiative of NTPC aimed at empowering young girls. A total of 120 girls were felicitated with certificates of completion during this ceremony.
Following this, the CEO of NML and other dignitaries proceeded to review the Dulanga Coal Mines, where discussions were held focused on increasing productivity with an emphasis on safety and environmental sustainability. Initiatives promoting new practices and the adoption of new technologies were also deliberated. Subsequently, the senior officials attended various review meetings and interacted with young employees, boosting employee engagement and opening new forums for innovation.
Simultaneously, Smt. Rekha Jain, President of Swayamsiddha Mahila Samiti, Smt. Kavita Saxena, President of Prerana Ladies Club, and other members of Prerana Ladies Club visited the Training Centre at R&R Colony, NTPC Dulanga. They interacted with beneficiaries of beautician training and members of 23 SHGs, sharing new ideas to boost their ventures. Considering the heatwaves in the region, umbrellas were distributed to participants as a CSR initiative. The event concluded with a plantation drive by the dignitaries at R&R Colony.
