NTPC Korba has strengthened its commitment to cleanliness and sustainability by organizing Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 under the theme “Clean India.” The program, which runs from September 16 to October 2, 2024, was inaugurated under the leadership of GM (O&M), Arnab Maitra, with the presence of GM (FM), S.P. Singh, other senior officials, and employees.
The aim of Swachhata Pakhwada is to promote cleanliness across the country. During this period, NTPC Korba has planned various activities to raise awareness about cleanliness among all employees and the community.
On September 26, 2024, NTPC Korba organized a walkathon in the township, which saw participation from NTPC employees and CISF personnel. This initiative was significant in fostering community spirit and emphasizing the importance of cleanliness in our daily lives.
The walkathon was inaugurated by Rajiv Khanna, Business Unit Head. All General Managers, department heads, and employees were present at this occasion. Mr. Rajiv Khanna encouraged everyone to adopt the values of cleanliness not only at the workplace but also in their homes and communities. He stated, “Our commitment to a clean environment begins with us. Together, we can bring about significant change.”
Swachhata Pakhwada is an important campaign that actively encourages individuals and organizations to participate in promoting cleanliness.
