NTPC Kerandari and Chattibariatu Coal Mining Project has provided support to 203 Cobra Battalion(known for anti-naxal operations) located at Barhi ,Hazaribag for construction of submersible pump and two hand pumps with two deep bore wells in its premises under Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
On this occasion, Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) inaugurated functioning of the pump and borewell system in the august presence of Commandant, Rajiv Kumar, SK Sinha, Head of Kerandari and Chattibariatu Coal Mining Project, Sanjeev Kumar Singh, General Manager (Mining ) and other senior officials.
In view of the pertaining issue of water scarcity in the camp, NTPC constructed & installed the pump, bore well infrastructure to resolve the problem. Commandant Cobra Battalion expressed gratitude to NTPC for the noble initiative taken which will help the whole regiment.
