Kanishka Narzary of village Dogarpara, Salakati, Kokrajhar has been selected in Assam Regiment, an Infantry of India Army as soldier tradesmen.
Shri Narzary is one of the students coached by e-Voice, NTPC Bongaigaon under CSR (Helping Hands) FY 2020-21 batch & trained by CISF, NTPC-BONGAIGAON unit.
Under e-voice (Employee Voluntary Organizations for Initiatives in Community Development) of NTPC Bongaigaon, the CISF-NTPC Bongaigaon unit is imparting physical training to the youth and NTPC employees are imparting them with classroom training free of cost.
This is the second batch of students from nearby villages which started in 2020, where three students were selected at Assam Polytechnic for Engineering courses and Shri Narzary has been selected for Indian Army.
The first batch also saw two youth from nearby villages enrolled at Indian Army in the year 2019.
Every year, the e-VOICE helping hands’ team have been providing various sports equipments, study infrastructure etc to around 80 students (both girls & boys) of nearby villages of Salakati, Kokrajhar at the CISF Barrack, NTPC Bongaigaon for assisting and equipping them for various physical training activities for constable and other allied recruitment examinations.
