The country’s largest power generator, NTPC Ltd., with a group installed capacity of nearly 77 GW, has announced its unaudited financial results for the nine months ending 31st December 2024.
The NTPC Group generated 327 billion units in 9M FY25 compared to 315 billion units in 9M FY24. NTPC’s standalone gross generation increased to 278 billion units up from 268 billion units in the corresponding period last year.
NTPC coal stations achieved a Plant Load Factor of 76.20% significantly exceeding the national average PLF of 67.20%.
On a standalone basis, NTPC’s total income for 9M FY25 stood at ₹1,28,601 crore as compared to ₹1,21,486 crore in the same period last year. Profit After Tax (PAT) for 9M FY25 increased by 11%, reaching ₹13,871 crore as against ₹12,523 crore in 9M FY24.
On a consolidated basis the group’s total income for 9M FY25 rose to ₹1,39,777 crore compared to ₹1,32,349 crore in the corresponding period of FY24. Profit After Tax (PAT) grew by 8% reaching ₹16,056 crore as against ₹14,842 crore in 9M FY24.
The Board of Directors has approved a second interim dividend for FY25 at 25% of the paid-up share capital, amounting to ₹2.50 per equity share with a face value of ₹10 each.
