Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 2 First Mile Connectivity (FMC) projects of Coal India subsidiary Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.
These projects, worth over ₹ 1393.69 crore, include Coal Handling Plants at Jayant and Dudhichua OCPs, with an annual coal handling capacities of 15 MT & 10 MT, respectively.
CHPs optimise the coal evacuation process by replacing road transportation with a mechanised and automated mode of transportation. These projects will facilitate environment friendly and fast transportation of coal from Jayant & Dudhichua, the two mega mines of NCL.
