At a function organised at Repair Shop Electrical Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 8th March 2024. Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works) inaugurated the renovated Conference Hall with all modern amenities and handed over two in-house reconditioned equipments to concerned Departments.
Present on the occasion were Mr. P S Kannan, CGM (Energy Management), Mr. R N Rajendran, CGM (Mechanical), Mr. B S Kartha, CGM (Electrical & Power), Mr. D K Bhanja, CGM (Power Distribution), Mr. S K Polaki, GM In-charge (RSE & HME), Ms. Asha Kartha, GM In-charge (Safety engineering Department), Mr. Pawan Gupta, GM (Civil Engineering Department), Mr. Kashmir Tirkey, DGM (RSE), several Heads of Departments , Officers and employees of RSE.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Suryawanshi commended the efforts of the Department in giving shape the new renovated conference hall and fulfilling the requirements of the plant through cost effective means.
The Repaired and Reconditioned 1.6 MW Russian Compressor Rotor of Oxygen Plant was handed over to Mr. P S Kannan, CGM (Energy Management) and Mr. Kishore Kujur, GM (Oxygen Plant). Mr. D K Bhanja, CGM (Power Distribution) was handed over the repaired and reconditioned 16 MVA Auto Transformer.
The in-house repair and reconditioning of the 2 equipments has brought about substantial saving of Rs. 80 lakhs.
Before handing over the equipments a brief presentation was made on the details of the activities of the job carried out at RSE by Mr. S K Polaki. Mr. Polaki also welcomed the gathering and coordinated the function.
