SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has registered its best ever Quarterly performance in key areas like Hot Metal, Crude Steel and Saleable Steel in the first quarter of the current fiscal that is from April to June 2023.
The Steel Plant produced 11,12,808 tonnes of Hot Metal during this period which is an improvement of 2.7% over the Corresponding Period Last Year.
Similarly by producing 10,02,960 tonnes of Crude Steel and 9,72,974 tonnes of Saleable Steel RSP has not only clocked its best April-June performance but also registered growth of 0.2% and 5.7% respectively over Q1 of last fiscal.
The Sinter Plant –III with its all time high production of 9,23,123 tonnes of sinter during this period added to the success story.
Generation of combined 71.95MW power in Captive Power Plant – 1 & 3 was the best ever performance since inception. The previous best CPLY was 64.83MW.
