In the forex market, the rupee appreciated 17 paise against the US dollar. The domestic unit was trading at 75 rupees and 91 paise against the US currency.
The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies fell 0.02 percent to trade at 96.54 in intra-day trade.
