Nine executives upto the level of E-6 of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were presented with the Trailblazer award by Mr. Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge in a function organized at Rourkela Club on 24th August, 2024.
Mr. S R Suryawanshi, ED (Works), Mr. Tarun Misra, ED (HR) with Additional Charge of ED (Projects), Mr. Alok Verma, ED (Mines), Mr. A K Behuria, ED (F&A) and other Senior Officers of the plant and spouses of the awardees were present on the occasion.
The award winners are Mr. Deba Chandra Naik, AGM (Coke Ovens, Mr. Rashmi Ranjan Mohanty, AGM (Hot Strip Mill-2), Mr. Krushna Chandra Mohanty, AGM (New Plate Mill), Mr. Shashi Kiran Kumar, AGM (Design), Mr. Ms. Gyaneswari Padhy, AGM (Contract Cell (Works), Priyabrat Barik, AGM (Traffic & Raw Materials), Mr. Robin Kumar, DGM (Human Resource), Mr. Ashish Kumar, AGM (Internal Audit) and Dr. Shivalkar, Assistantt. CMO (Medical).
Notably this motivational award scheme recognises the contributions made by the frontline executives in bringing about improvement in production, productivity, Techno-Economic Parameters, safety, quality, maintenance practices, cost reduction/digitalisation, systems improvement etc.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Bhowmick inspired the trailblazers to prioritize smart work, strive for self-improvement, and lead by example. Additionally, he highlighted the significant impact that family support has on a person’s success.
Mr. S Badpanda, GM (HR-OD) proposed a Vote of Thanks at the end of the programme, while Ms Simpi Patel, Deputy Manager (HR-OD) anchored the event.
