US Election 2020 Results LIVE Updates | What we know so far:
> Polling has closed in most eastern states. But it’s still on in the central and western states.
> Early results are pouring in from states were polling has concluded.
> Democratic Party candidate and former vice president Joe Biden is leading the electoral vote tally over Republican candidate and incumbent President Donald Trump. As of 8.00 am IST, Biden had 89 electoral votes as compared to Trump’s 59. A candidate needs at least 270 such votes. But, this could change as votes are counted in more states.
> Biden and Trump are locked in a neck and neck battle in the crucial battleground state of Florida. Winning the state’s 29 electoral votes is important for both candidates.
Democrats are likely to retain control of the House of Representatives, most projections suggest.
