In a significant step towards digitisation of Project Management, a Training Programme for Digital Project Management Solution(DPMS) was inaugurated at HRDC Computer lab of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 18th April.
Sudip Pal Choudhury, CGM (Projects) inaugurated the programme in the presence of H N Pati, GM (HRD) and other senior officers and executives of the Projects Department. Notably, Digital Project Management Solution(DPMS) is being Implemented across all 5 integrated steel plants of SAIL including Corporate Office & CET.
DPMS has been conceived with the aim of automating various facets of project lifecycles, encompassing activities ranging from project conceptualization to closure. From the appointment of consultants to the submission of various documents, from procurement processes to project monitoring and billing, DPMS streamlines and digitizes each step of the project journey.
Operating on the cloud, DPMS boasts a plethora of features such as 5D BIM, note-sheet modules, real-time payment status updates, and much more. Its integration with Metal Junction for e-tendering, CET’s EDDMS for drawing submission & approval, and SAP-FI module for billing schedules further enhances its capabilities.
The programme is coordinated by Preetam Naik, Senior Manager (Projects), Nirmal Kumar Mahto, Senior Manager (Projects), and Arnnapurna Behera, Senior Manager (HRD).
The training programme is to be held from 18th to 27th April 2024 covering projects department from 18th to 20th of April 2024, followed by other departments of RSP.
